May 2011 will find eleven ORU students landing in Hamburg Germany for two weeks. Although the date of departure is over 7 months away, preparations are already being made and the team is eagerly getting to know each other. Team Germany had their first introductions over a friendly game of Apples to Apples in early October and then got together Halloween weekend to do Fall Outreach with other ORU students. Team Germany went to over 40 houses around Tulsa to collect canned goods for local food distribution centers. Weekly prayer meetings have also been initiated since then, happening on Sunday evenings. Perhaps the most exciting event so far has been the Stamp Party, where team members assembled support letters that were then sent to families and friends. It is through these letters that the great fundraising process has begun! Germany may be 7 months away, but the adventure is already in motion. God has already been working in hearts and is certainly faithful to provide for and prepare each that are committing to this trip.

Ephesians 6:18-20
“ And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”
